Gilcrest Cottages & Motel is a nostalgic escape from everyday living where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.
Covid 19 Policies:
Pursuant to the Governor of New Hampshire’s Emergency Order 27, all registered guests must attest that they are exhibiting no symptoms of COVID-19.
Additionally, registered guests checking in must either provide a New England (NH, MA, RI, VT, CT, ME) Driver’s license as proof of residency or, for Non New England guests, attest that they have **quarantined at home for 14 days.
**The definition of quarantine in this instance means that the person or people registering to stay at this lodging facility have remained isolated at home for the past 14 days, going into the community only for necessities/work. In addition, when outside of the home, I/we have maintained social distancing and worn a face covering when less than six feet from another person.
Our guest's health and safety is of the utmost importance to us, all rooms are carefully disinfected, and our staff will strive to make your stay with us as contactless as possible.
- Guest check in will be completed 1 day prior to reservation date to include payment in full, via text or email.
- The physical office will be closed until further notice, staff availability by phone or text will remain as 8am-8pm.
- If there is an onsite emergency after hours, please use the intercom at the office door to reach us.
- Guest check out must be completed by 10am by leaving the key at the office drop box, unless prior arrangements have been made.
- All guests must answer “No” to the below questions:
o Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
o Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
o Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
o Have you had changes in your sense of taste or smell?
- If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, please do not put our employees and other guests at risk and come back another day when you feel better. Any deposit will be returned.
All reservations must be made using a major credit card, not a debit card.
If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 14 days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation less a $15 processing fee (processing fee is only applicable for reservations made through an Expedia Partner online booking site).
Non Refundable Deposit:
14 days prior to your check in date a 1 night's rate + tax non-refundable deposit is taken on the credit card that you provide. Reservations for 2 or more rooms require an immediate non-refundable deposit at the time of the reservation, and all rooms will be under the same name and credit card for the entire balance. Once the deposit is taken it is indeed non-refundable, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the cancellation.
In the unlikely event that you must shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. All payments are final, refunds will not be provided for modified reservations, or shortened stays.
No shows are not eligible for refunds. All payments are final.
Please notify us prior to your arrival if there are any changes to the number of people staying, if you made your reservation through a 3rd party booking site (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) you will need to contact them.
All rates are based on double occupancy, in the case that more than two people are staying in one room a charge of $20 per person will be applied for each adult and child over 12. Maximum occupancies will be enforced.
Registered guests are entitled to the full use of our facility. We cannot accommodate friends and relatives not included in your reservation, but would be happy to provide them with paid accommodations if there are units available. Vehicles not registered will be towed at owner’s expense.
Our Check-in timeframe is Check-in: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Guest check in will be completed 1 day prior to reservation date, to include payment in full, via text or email. Guests that do not check in remotely 1 day prior to reservation date will automatically have their reservation cancelled and will be charged for the entire stay, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Check out time is promptly at 10am, by leaving the key in the drop box by the office: Late check out’s must be approved by the office, and will incur a fee of $15. Check out’s after 10am without approval will be charged for another night.
We do not provide daily housekeeping, but we are happy to accommodate requests for trash removal and fresh towels.
Fireplaces are for ambiance only, due to insurance regulations there is no burning of any kind permitted in the fireplaces. We have provided electric fireplace inserts for your safety and enjoyment.
Smoking & Vaping is strictly prohibited within all of our units; ash buckets are provided outside for your use. Violations will result in a $250 fee, in addition to charges for any damages.
Lost or missing keys incur a $75.00 charge. Please leave key in lock box upon checkout.
Guests are responsible for missing items and damages to the property that occur while you stay at Gilcrest. Your credit card will be charged for those damages.
We are not responsible for personal belongings left within cars or units. Please take valuables with you when you leave.

DIRECTIONS:From North or South I-93 to Exit 29. At the bottom of the ramp you will take a right. We are the first driveway on the left. Some GPS units and online maps will have you get off at the wrong exit, or have you turn the wrong way. Please follow the above directions!
